The Underground Archives is an archival site of underground culture from the past to the present. The goal of this site is create an endless time line of the history and activity of sub-cultures that have revolved around music, political and social movements and art. Since often these movements involved a small section of society, were outside of the view of mainstream society and often in less populated areas of the world, there has been limited documentation.

The goal is to document everything that happened outside of the mainstream. There are a great number of resources on the internet and elsewhere but often they are only limited to one group, one section or only those that were more visible. Since there is very limited documentation a majority of the information in the archives has been provided by members and is based completely on their combined knowledge. Anyone can join and contribute but we ask that if they uses an outside source that they credit it.

Since part of the goal is to document the sub-culture as a whole, listings include memories, independent media, venues, businesses, etc... It doesn't matter as long as it was relevant to the sub-culture.
